Track touring is at the discretion of the PCA Chicago Region 2024 TRAC Committee. See the Event Schedule for the track touring dates/times.
Touring vehicles are NOT limited to Porsches and may include sedans, SUVS, minivans, and trucks, though motorcycles are prohibited.
Each touring participant must sign a Chicago Region Event Wavier and Release form and be wearing an appropriate PCA Chicago Region event wristband. A separate Waiver for Minors in Vehicles for Track Touring Laps is required for EACH minor in the vehicle (these can be downloaded from clubregistration.net event details or from PCA Chicago’s website). This additional waiver MUST be signed by a parent or guardian prior to entering the track.
Seatbelts are required for all passengers and the driver, including a shoulder restraint for each occupant in the front seat. Harnesses and helmets are not required.
Each vehicle should have one occupant familiar with the track at Road America, though this is not limited to the driver. The driver must be a licensed driver, 18 years of age or older.
A minimum $10 charitable donation per vehicle will be collected prior to entering the track. All proceeds will be donated to the 2024 PCA Chicago Region charity, CASA of McHenry County.
PCA Chicago Region will have several pace cars on track to maintain a safe touring speed, each equipped with radios to race control and safety vehicles in case of emergency.
Pace cars will enforce a 50 MPH speed limit throughout the touring session.
Passing is NOT permitted.
Stay alert for slow moving vehicles or those that have come to a stop.
Passenger changes are permitted but ONLY on pit lane.
While touring is in progress, you may exit the track at any time via pit lane (immediately after corner 14, at the beginning of the front straight). Vehicles who drive the entire touring session will be directed to exit either through pit lane or turn 5.
If a mechanical problem occurs and you are unable to return to the pits, pull off the track surface and have all occupants exit the vehicle and climb over the nearest guardrail WITHOUT crossing the track. Do not attempt to work on your car. Wait for help.
Rescue, ambulance, and corner workers must remain standing.
